Quotes of the Day

Perspective:
The kids have a contraption on their bedroom door, whereas they can only open it a few inches when it is engaged. (It gives us peace of mind that they can not sneak out at night without us knowing.) Of course, I've always considered the contraption as a means of "locking the kids in" per se to their bedroom during sleeping hours. This morning, Bree woke up and came to her bedroom door. With the contraption in place, she peered out as best she could to see our cat Roxy sitting on the other side looking back at her. Once Bree started a conversation with Roxy, I realized she was ready to get up, and I went to get her out of the bedroom. When I opened the door, she told me, "Roxy was locked in the living room." And how did I respond? I wholeheartedly agreed! Sometimes, perspective is everything. :)

Inside Voices:
We visited Jim for lunch. Bree was being a bit loud for an office setting. Before I could say something, Drew demanded, "Sissy, use your inside voice!"
