I've been attempting to capture some of the funny things I hear throughout the day. There are lots.
We have a herd of toy cows, and when Bree plays with them, she is usually having "cow contests". They go head to head in running and jumping competitions. But today, I watched as she played next to me. She had the baby cows asking for their mama cows. Once the mamas found the babies, they took them to a plastic container for a nap. When all the cows made it to the plastic container, Bree found an old birthday card and proceeded to read the cows a story. Her story went like this - "Once upon a time, there was a bear named Pumpkin Bear (which is a little Ty bear we have in a pumpkin outfit). He fell in the water. Then he got a fat tummy, because he ate a bunch of honey. That's the end." She told the story a few times over the course of the day, and it was interestingly consistent each time.
And Drew's comment of the day -
Drew reached up on the counter and starting spilling out the contents of a bag up there. When I caught him, I rushed over and said, "Drew, don't dump that out - geez, Louise!" Drew responded, "I'm not Weez!" You got me on that one, buddy!

Mario!
My brother's school had their children's carnival this weekend. Darren had a Mario Kart game in his classroom, and asked D & B to help out.
Happy to do so, Baby Mario was in attendance. (He survived most the evening, his mustache, however, did not!)
Balloons from Auntie and Uncle were are great perk!
Hoping for a big one!
Uncle left the table with a few new "tattoos", courtesy of Drew.
We found Princess Peach back in the Mario Kart room.
Princess Daisy wasn't quite ready to leave, once she found a ball and someone to toss it to.

And Princess Daisy made her appearance...
The Marios had to consult from time to time.
Off to do some fishing.
Hoping for a big one!
And a few of their many catches...
While we did a little fishing and tried our luck at the cake walk, the craft table was, by far, D & B's favorite activity.

Crafty Kids
The kiddos had a pre-school open house this week. Pre-school, can you believe it?!? Makes my heart shudder a bit. At any rate, when the time rolled around to head to the open house, Bree was fast asleep. These are the days the kids often opt out of taking an afternoon nap and instead pass out before or at dinner.
So, Drew and Jim checked it out and reported back. When I asked Drew about pre-school, he excitedly responded there was a big car there that he could sit in. I think he's hooked!
He came home with a couple of craft kits, and we sat down and did them today.
The result - snowflake crowns!
