Tailgate! Go State!

Hi All,
We took the kiddos to the MSU-Wisconsin tailgate this year. We plan to always get them to at least one every year, so all my tailgate buddies get a chance to see them. We had a cold but nice enough day. And inside all the pop-up tents was warm and toasty as usual, with multiple heaters running.
The kids weren't quite sure what to think of it all. But they did a good job hanging with the group.
Jim and I have also started a tradition of deep frying a turkey for one tailgate each year, so we also brought the turkey to this game. It was tasty as usual.
The only casualty of the day was poor Bree reached out and touched the grill on one of the heaters. She got an instant burn, but took it like a champ for the remainder of the tailgate.
My sister and I went on to the game, where MSU surprised us with a huge 34-24 win over favored Wisconsin. Another good day to be a Spartan! Go State!

"Refreshments! Think I'll help myself."

"I'll just sit here and wait to be served!"

"Uh oh, is that a Wisconsin fan in the red? Who let him in?"

Just happy to be here!

Jim is all business here getting the turkey carved.

"More, please!"

"Look, my auntie is here!"

"Whoa! Somebody cut Dad off!"

"I can almost fit this whole thing in my mouth - maybe next year."

State Fans

 Hi All,
We declared Saturday "State Day" (as every day should be) in honor of MSU taking on the Irish of Notre Dame. Drew and Bree cheered for the Spartans with Grandma and Grandpa from the home front, while I went to see the game live, complete with a little tailgating. (Jim was off in Green Bay also enjoying a football weekend.) Our team did not disappoint. We won a shocker in overtime, with a field goal fake, thrown for a touchdown on 4th and 14! Final Score: MSU 34 - ND 31. Love it!

"Proud to be a Spartan!"

"Me too!"

Watching the game - looks like a tense moment...

"Go ahead and get us as many toys as you want - we love the boxes they come in!"
