Will You Be My Valentine?

Hi All,
We had lots of Valentines fun.
First, Grandma and Papa came over a day early with Valentines goodies for Drew and Bree, and the big kids too.

Drew got a new monkey.

And an elephant for Bree.

And Jim and I got the biggest bag of bite size Snickers that I've ever seen! We had a nice dinner at a local sports bar. Drew and Bree were happy to see that balloons were available at the restaurant. We lost several in the rafters, and the wait staff kindly replenished them. About 10 or more balloons later, we were finished with our meal!

Back at home, we devoured a yummy ice cream cake supplied by my parents.

We actually got a nice family shot! Drew's cheek is red from some outdoors time earlier in the day.

And a big hug from one of my little valentines.

Drew and Bree had a blast trying to get their shoes to fit on Papa's feet. They finally got them over his toes, but he decided to wear his own shoes home anyway. :)

A nice shot with Grandma and Papa.

And the big valentines news - Marc and Sarah celebrated with an engagement! It's going to be a busy year! Cheers to the beautiful couple! We are so very happy for them.

And the fun continues! On Valentines Day, we opened gifts from Oma and Opa when Jim got home.

Diving in to all the goodies!

More food for our kitchen....

Fun with the talking puzzle board!

Oh, and I can't forget the Valentines cards and stickers that came in the mail from Auntie Sarah - what fun!

A happy Valentines Day to all!

My Funny Valentines

Hi All,
Drew and Bree came down with colds yesterday afternoon. They were feeling it pretty full force today, but we still managed to have some Valentines Day fun. They were happy with their Valentines loot! They received clothing, books, cash, stuffed animals, rubber balls, balloons, and a copy of the 40th anniversary edition of Sesame Street. Sounds like Christmas all over again, doesn't it?!? Thanks to our grandparents, Aunt Frannie and our dear friend Chris for all the goodies!

Happy Valentines Day

Hi All,

Happy Valentines Day! For anyone expecting my usual Thursday update, sorry for the delay. Don't worry, I'm not in labor yet. I wish I had a good excuse, but the truth is I've mostly been resting. The extra weight is taking a toll, and I'm getting increasingly uncomfortable and tired. My pre-natal support "girdle" is now my best friend, other than it's getting too small for me!

As for Thursday's NST, all ended well although it was another one of those longer sessions. My son has gotten quite the reputation as a wiggleworm. He definitely knows when the monitor is on him and does his best to move away. But, most importantly, both babies are still posting healthy activity.

Other than that, I wanted to mention that today is a day that has always been special for me. Of course, as Valentines Day, it is a day to celebrate love. But, more importantly, Valentines Day is the day my older sister Renee was born. It could not be more appropriate, because she is a person that emanated love. Sadly, we lost her in a car accident nearly 20 years ago. But she will always be remembered for her smile that could light up a room and her wonderful personality. I wish she could meet our twins, but I know her light shines down and her spirit lives on.

I feel greatly blessed that God picked me to be Renee's sister, even though our time together was much too short.
